Project's Activities
Project Activities
Project Management, Coordination, and Quality Assurance
The project establishes a robust coordination and management framework to ensure efficient implementation and high-quality results. A Steering Committee oversees strategic direction, financial monitoring, and risk management, while Work Package leaders coordinate day-to-day activities. Quality assurance procedures, internal reviews, and external evaluation mechanisms ensure that all deliverables meet academic and professional standards. Regular online meetings and transnational partner meetings support continuous communication and alignment across the consortium.
Needs Analysis and Institutional Mapping
At the initial stage, the project carries out a systematic analysis of digital skills gaps, infrastructure capacity, and institutional readiness within participating Higher Education Institutions. Surveys, interviews, and focus groups with students, educators, and administrators identify barriers related to connectivity, access to technology, digital literacy, and pedagogical practices. The findings form the evidence base for the design of training content, platform features, and institutional strategies.
Design and Development of Digital Education Modules
Based on the results of the needs analysis, modular digital education curricula are developed across three competence levels: core digital skills, advanced digital skills, and specialized skills. The modules address areas such as digital literacy, online communication, cybersecurity, data analytics, programming, artificial intelligence, and digital entrepreneurship. Learning materials include presentations, videos, practical exercises, toolkits, and assessment tools, and are aligned with the EU Digital Competence Framework. The modular structure allows reuse and adaptation across disciplines and institutions.
Digital Learning Platform Design and Development
The project develops a central Digital Learning Portal that hosts all training materials and resources. The platform integrates learning management functionalities, user registration, progress tracking, assessment tools, and discussion spaces. Special attention is given to low-bandwidth optimization and offline accessibility so that students in rural and underserved areas can access content. The platform is designed as a long-term repository that remains available after the end of the project.
Training of Educators
Academic staff participate in professional development programmes focused on blended and online teaching methodologies, digital classroom management, online assessment, and integration of digital resources into curricula. The training strengthens educators’ confidence and capacity to deliver engaging, learner-centred digital education.
Training of Students
Students take part in hands-on training activities that build practical digital competencies in areas such as digital literacy, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, programming, and digital entrepreneurship. Training combines self-paced learning, workshops, and guided practice, preparing students for academic success and for participation in the digital labour market.
Training of Institutional Leaders
University managers and institutional leaders participate in capacity-building sessions focused on digital transformation strategies, change management, sustainability planning, and policy alignment. This ensures that digital education is embedded at strategic and organizational levels.
Pilot Testing and Validation Workshops
Digital modules and platform functionalities are tested in real learning environments. Pilot participants provide structured feedback on content quality, relevance, usability, and accessibility. The feedback is analysed and used to refine materials, training approaches, and technical features.
Transnational Partner Meetings
Three face-to-face transnational meetings are organized during the project lifetime, including a kick-off meeting, an interim meeting, and a final meeting. These meetings support joint planning, monitoring of progress, exchange of good practices, and collective decision-making. In addition, regular online coordination meetings ensure continuous communication and timely problem-solving.
Stakeholder Engagement and Policy Dialogue
The project engages ministries, policymakers, industry representatives, and educational authorities through meetings, consultations, and briefing events. This dialogue supports the integration of digital skills into higher education policies and alignment with national and regional digital strategies.
Dissemination and Communication
Project results are promoted through the project website, social media channels, newsletters, press releases, conferences, and multiplier events. These activities raise awareness of the project, share good practices, and encourage adoption of results by other institutions.
Impact Assessment and Evaluation
Continuous monitoring and evaluation track project progress using quantitative and qualitative indicators. External evaluation validates outcomes and measures impact at student, staff, and institutional levels.
Sustainability and Exploitation Planning
A Sustainability and Exploitation Plan defines how project results will continue after funding ends. Digital modules are integrated into curricula, institutions commit to maintaining the platform, and partnerships are strengthened to support ongoing collaboration and scaling.
